Hope College Spring Fling

As the bell in Dimnent Chapel struck 1 on Friday, the call went out: Put down your books and pick up some fun.
Hope College students swarmed the Pine Grove commons area to shake off winter, welcome spring and blow off a little
steam before final exams next week.
"It's a blast," said freshman Lynnae Ruberg, 18, from Brighton who is in the international studies program
at Hope.

ALLENDALE -- University chefs armed with knives, butter and a garden of vegetables faced off Wednesday in a heated
competition at Grand Valley State University.
In the spirit of the Food Network's popular "Iron Chef" TV show, teams of chefs went stove-to-stove in a
frenzied hour of cooking.

Schock Let Go

Hamilton Grad

The candid smile on Jason Santora's face belies the challenges he's had to overcome in his young life.
At age 2 he was diagnosed with leukemia.
The cancer did not survive. Santora did.
Today Santora, who turned 19 last month, will receive his high school diploma, along with 158 of his fellow seniors
at Hamilton High School.

SOS Boys

The irrepressible spirit of two boys is helping to secure a corner of paradise for generations to come.
For Peter C. Wiley and Aaron R. Parach, music is their passion. The Saugatuck Middle School students recently used
their talents to raise money for the preservation of a stretch of sand dunes along Lake Michigan known as the Denison property.
